5. How we collect it
- Directly from you — when you place an order, subscribe to the newsletter or contact us.
- Automatically — cookies and similar technologies record device and usage information as you browse.
- From our service providers — payment confirmations from our payment provider and delivery updates from Royal Mail.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies so the shop works and so we can understand how the site is used, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
- Strictly necessary cookies — these remember your basket, keep your session during checkout and protect against fraud. They cannot be switched off and do not require your consent.
- Analytics cookies — we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are used. You can object to this at any time.
- Newsletter form cookies — set when you use the subscription form, to prevent spam submissions.
We do not use advertising or behavioural targeting cookies. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through our cookie banner, or by clearing and blocking cookies in your browser settings.
7. Who we share your data with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the providers we need in order to run the shop, each bound by a contract to protect it:
- WooPayments (powered by Stripe) — to process card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments.
- Royal Mail — to deliver your order and provide tracking.
- Brevo — to send order emails and, if you have subscribed, our newsletter.
- Our hosting and IT providers — to run and secure the website.
- HM Revenue & Customs, law enforcement or the courts — where we are legally required to disclose information.
8. International transfers
Your data is held in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area wherever possible. Where a provider transfers data outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations, an International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, so that your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.
9. Security and how long we keep your data
We protect your data with SSL encryption, restricted administrative access and regular security updates.
We keep order, payment and invoice records for six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, because UK accounting law requires it. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
